Hi
the engineering colleges do not need the approval of AICTE. They need to be approved by the UGC and should follow the UGC norms too.
As per the rules laid down by UGC for Universities, they have to be far more advanced and better than colleges in providing the infrastructure for the programs they deliver. Also the recruitment of faculty is as per the norms laid out by the regulatory authority. You need to check an institution which would give you the best of academics in the form of good faculty, infrastructure , live projects, seminars, exposure, platform, scholarships, placements etc.

The AICTE approval to an institution denotes that the institute complies with the minimum standards prescribed by the regulator as well as indicates the quality of education. AICTE is an apex body which governs technical education in India. AICTE prescribes minimum standards in terms of faculty, infrastructure etc.

Hello,
UGC has decided that no professional course could be done by distance education mode and hence debarred all universities from offering such courses by distance education mode. In view of this, I do not think Kalinga University will be offering engineering graduation under distance mode. However, you can think of doing AMIE which is equivalent to a degree in engineering. Best wishes to you.
