Candidates who have good academic records and meet the set cutoff in entrance exams are invited for the interview round. In this round, a panel of interviewers evaluates students based on their portfolio of work/thesis/projects, work experience (if any), and the SOP.

Once the seat allocation process is completed students with admission offers are required to pay first installment of tuition fees. As per the fee structure the total tuition fee to pursue MPlan at SPA Delhi amounts to INR 1.8 lakh for a two-year course duration.

Note: The above mentioned fee is as per the official sources. However it is indicative and subject to change.

To get into Architecture you need to first clear basic education, i.e. Class 10+2 in the relevant stream like Science or even arts would also help. After that, sit for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and aim for best Architecture colleges in India to puruse a B.Arch course. If you want to gain more expertise then you can also go for M.Arch course.

The application process for TNSA is quite simple, candidate can simply apply using their website and then you will receive an e-mail comprising of the copy of your application in a PDF format. If your application gets selected, you will receive a call from TNSA representative who will confirm your application. At the end you just need to attend their counselling to ensure to your admission in TNSA !

In order to apply, you must have passed your class 10+2 in PCM (physics, chemistry, maths) stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and you also need to pass their NATA exam ( national aptitude test in architecture).

According to the MPlan admission criteria at IIEST Shibpur, the selection criteria are divided into three categories, such as Group A, Group B, and Group C. In these categories, Group A are GATE qualified candidates, Group B is Non-GATE candidates and Group -C is Sponsored candidates. Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the preset eligibility requirements to be eligible for the programme. Check out the following table to learn more about the category-wise, selection criteria:

Group-A

Candidates who have valid GATE scores, more than or equal to the qualifying (cut-off) marks are eligible for direct admissions to the stipendiary seats in the respective programmes. The merit list will be prepared based on the GATE score

Group-B

Those who did not qualify or appear for the GATE exam must appear for a written test or interview. These candidates will not be eligible for the assistantship  (stipend)

Group-C

  • Those who did not qualify or appear for the GATE exam must appear for a written test or interview
  • These candidates are not eligible for the assistantship (stipend)
  • They must have a minimum of two years of experience
  • Students must submit the sponsorship certificate and relieving order from the parent organisation
  • The residential period for the completion, of course, works should be one year
  • Students are permitted to carry out the Project Work in the third and fourth Semester at their parent organisation
  • There must be a guide from the sponsoring organisation for each sponsored candidate apart from the internal guide from IIEST, Shibpur
  • Candidates are encouraged to publish papers in the web of Science / Scopus-indexed journals
  •  A joint patent in the name of IIEST, Shibpur and the parent organisation can also be available
