The eligibility criteria of M.Des in Mobility and Vehicle Design from Industrial Design Centre - IIT Bombay is given below.
Eligibility criteria : Bachelors Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/ Interior Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four year Bachelors course).
Note: B.Plan. considered equivalent to B.Arch. Four year B.Sc (Engg) course after HSC considered equivalent to BE/B.Tech.
OR Professional Diploma in Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four year Diploma program).
OR BFA Sculpture (4 year professional program with entry after 10+2).
So from above B.Des is not mandatory for the asked course.

Hello,
Eligibility for IAS is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university, there's no minimum aggregate required in this case, you need to be 21 years old and you can apply even in the final year. Now, coming to your question UPSC is more humanities oriented and people from humanities background have an added advantage they're already well acquainted with the subjects included in the syllabus, for Science and other streams they do not study humanities subject at 10+2 and graduation level. Yes, every university and college have provided the option of branch change, for the students after passing first year, so that if any doubt still prevails in the mind of a student after taking admission in first year, he/she can then change his/her respective branch in second year. You need to check your interest and also the suitability of the entrance in to the world of architecture as you must have not given the NATA test. Yes, you can apply elsewhere as you need a pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.Arch. Or B.Plan. Or B.Tech.
