BMS School of Architecture was ranked 7 out of 62 among best institutes of architecture by IIRF 2025 while Nitte School of Architecture was ranked 56. So BMSSA is better ranked by IIRF.

Candidates with GATE rank are preferred for admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. Others can get admission based on score in Karnataka PG CET. For admission through Management Quota, selection is based on portfolio and performance of candidates in interview.

Qualifying Karnataka PGCET is compulsory for Karnataka domicile students to get admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. For others, it is not compulsory and they can get admission based on GATE score or through Management Quota.

Candidates who have qualified GATE exam are given preference for admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. But those who have qualified Karnataka PGCET are also considered for admission.

BMS School of Architecture accepts valid score in GATE exam and PGCET conducted by Karnataka government for admission in M.Arch programme. Qualifying Karnataka PGCET is compulsory for Karnataka domicile students.
