MET's School of Architecture and Interior Design makes sure that urban planning is a key part of the study. This BArch course teaches you how to design social plans and transport schemes for cities. You will look at how big groups of buildings fit together in a township. The classes explain the relationship between individual structures and the overall city design.  

MET's School of Architecture and Interior Design follows a busy but organized weekly timetable. BArch course usually has 28 hours of regular classes every week. On top of that, there are two extra hours for site visits or special guest lectures. Most of your time is spent in the studio or working on practical projects.  

MET's School of Architecture and Interior Design provides many chances for students to learn by doing. During BArch course, you will visit construction sites and attend technology-led workshops. There are also audit courses that let you explore your own creative interests.  

BMS School of Architecture was ranked 7 out of 62 among best institutes of architecture by IIRF 2025 while Nitte School of Architecture was ranked 56. So BMSSA is better ranked by IIRF.

Candidates with GATE rank are preferred for admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. Others can get admission based on score in Karnataka PG CET. For admission through Management Quota, selection is based on portfolio and performance of candidates in interview.

Qualifying Karnataka PGCET is compulsory for Karnataka domicile students to get admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. For others, it is not compulsory and they can get admission based on GATE score or through Management Quota.

Candidates who have qualified GATE exam are given preference for admission in M.Arch in BMS School of Architecture. But those who have qualified Karnataka PGCET are also considered for admission.

BMS School of Architecture accepts valid score in GATE exam and PGCET conducted by Karnataka government for admission in M.Arch programme. Qualifying Karnataka PGCET is compulsory for Karnataka domicile students.
