Hi Astil, Yes, why not. Australia is a very popular study abroad destination among Indian students. There are many well known universities and colleges offering hundreds of programs in Australia. International students can also work part time during studies. In addition, Australian government also allows international students to stay and work in Australia for some years after successfully completing their studies. So, it is a good choice but it can be expensive. If you want to study in Australia decide what to study, browse universities and learn about their admission requirements and processes before starting the formal application p

Hi Pooja, Some of the best universities in Australia for pursuing medical sciences are University of Melbourne, Monash University, University of Sydney, The Australian National University Medical School (ANUMS), University of Adelaide, and University of Queensland among others. Admissions to undergraduate medical programs are done through UMAT - Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test. Overall, a higher first class is preferred, medical programs are highly competitive. Gaps are not something that is favoured by Australian universities but a good profile will make a difference. Please check with the universities direct

Hi Chandresh Mauriya,
Wow. That's a huge number of backlogs. Surely, you can pursue your Masters in Australia but gaining admissions in top ranking universities will be very difficult. There are plenty of options in Australia, a good application package can ensure admissions. See that your SOP is very good in addition to your internship, projects, extracurriculars and also recommendation letters. A very good IELTS score is a must, see that you score either 6.5 or higher. For rest of the information on eligibility criteria you have to visit the university websites. There are also a number of TAFE or vocational colleges in Australia you

I am also planning to study abroad. You should apply for Australia in April and May for July intake and in December and January for February intake. For UK, you should apply before 15th October. Because, deadline for the most universities is that. But some universities also accept application after that. Check the official website of the University Requirements and deadline to which you want to study.

Hi Jainish,
If your ultimate goal is to obtain a PR then you should target Canada or Australia. Not that obtaining a PR is easy but they have good and flexible options for international students as compared to USA. You should keep yourself updated with some global news to know the latest immigration policies in the countries of your choice, I will infact also ask you to contact an immigration agent who can show you stats and career outcomes of international applicants. Just for your knowledge, the pharma industry is huge in Canada.

Hello there,
You have a better chance in Australia based on the profile you gave. Visa will come later, first, you need to get acceptance from the university. So, I will first suggest you to focus on the application process and submit a competitive application including a well-written SOP and also the LOR.

Canada will be a good choice, because you can easily get assistance ship and administration ship, which almost covers your tuition fees.

Hi Jainesh,
It is less likely that you can secure an admission in USA or Canada only on basis of IELTS which is an English language proficiency test. GRE is an absolute must to pursue PG programs in USA. PG Diploma courses in Canada could be an option if you are interested. Also every university has its own admission criteria. In Australia, you can have a possibility to apply for both Masters and PG Diploma and the admission criteria will depend on the university and the course. If not any other test but an interview may have to be cleared. Just check with the universities.
