Eligibility criteria for the BA LLB programme in Chanakya Law College, Rudurpur is through merit and entrance tests. The college accepts scores of the Common Law Admission Test, CLAT and Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam, UKSEE. Candidates must be SSLC pass and should have passed 10+2 with a minimum percentage look for 45% general category and 40% for SC/ST. The college also takes into account AIR in CLAT, with its cutoff rank of about 15000-20000 for general category students only. There are a hundred and eighty total intake seats for BA LLB which out of them 50% are for Uttarakhand state students. The number of seats have been earmarked as 15% for SC category, 7% for ST category and 3% for OBC category.

Heritage Law College, Kolkata, currently provides its own 5 years B.A. LL.B along with 120 seats. The general selection criteria call for a candidate to attain a minimum pass average of 45 percent in the end of 12th class examination. The total cost of the program is INR 3,21,000 for tuition fee only inclusive of examination fee.

In terms of admissions, counseling is done depending upon the CET score conducted by the University of Calcutta. Thus, Heritage Law College has fixed cut-off marks so that any candidate belonging to the B.A. LL.B. course is marked differently every year.  With the B.A. LL.B., students are assured of having both their Bachelor of arts and Bachelor of law, so that they can study the extensive areas of legal studies entwined with arts subjects.

The college takes admission for this programme to 160 students every academic year and admission is based on criteria through qualifying examinations such as 12th grade in CBSE or MPBSE.
