To be eligible to apply for the BA LLB programme at Asian Law College, candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board. Candidates must have a valid ALCAT score. Candidates having CLAT/ LSAT-India score can also apply.

The last-round cutoff for the General All India category for BA LLB (Hons) at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna was 1541. The overall cutoff for CLAT was 2906–4173 rank. 

Here are the closing ranks for BA LLB (Hons) by category for 2023: 

  • General: 623
  • Scheduled Castes: 7313
  • Scheduled Tribe: 20349

The final admission decision is based on merit, which is determined by the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) scores.

To be eligible for admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna, you must: 

Pass your 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 45%

Pass the CLAT exam

Getting into CNLU depends on your performance in the CLAT exam and the online counseling that follows. 

The minimum rank required for general category students for the 2023 CLAT Fifth Provisional Allotment List was:

BBA LLB (Hons): 1218

First of all you also know that placement depends on your skills and knowledge not college only, I mean it depends 40%on college 60%you know.

The median package offered to BA LLB/ BBA LLB and LLM students during CNLU Patna placements 2022 was INR 10.10 LPA and INR 9 LPA, respectively. CNLU Placements 2022: A growth of almost 33% was recorded in the 2022 median package for BA LLB/ BBA LLB courses when compared with 2021.

If you want to get admission to any National Law University (NLU) in India, candidates should target a score of 80 to 85 in the CLAT 2024. 

 The cut-off is the minimum mark needed to be admitted into the target college. The cut-off is based on All India Ranks. For the general category, the CLAT Cut Off often falls between 95 and 100, whereas for the SC/ST category, it typically falls between 80 and 85.

The selection process for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) varies by college. Most colleges consider entrance exam cut-offs for admission. 

The CLAT cut-off for 2024 is expected to be: 

Top 3 NLUs: 100–105

Top 5 NLUs: 90–95

General category: 95–100

SC/ST and OBC categories: 80–85

The minimum cutoff for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna is 1314 for General Category students. 

 The minimum cutoff for BBA LLB (Hons.) is 1218 for General Category students. 

The eligibility criteria for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at CNLU are:

The eligibility criteria for BBA LLB (Hons.) at CNLU are: 

Graduate with a minimum of 45% marks

CLAT

The cut off for CNLU in 2021 was: 

45% for Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories

Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna offers 120 seats for the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program. There are also 20 supernumerary seats per year. The seat intake is broken down by category as follows: 

  • Unreserved: 50%, 60 seats
  • SCs of Bihar: 16%, 19 seats
  • STs of Bihar: 1%, 1 seat

CLAT is not required for admission to BA LLB at Indore Institute of Law. However, the institute accepts scores of various entrance exams such as IILET, CLAT, and LSAT for admission to Law PG courses, including BA LLB and BBA LLB.

The eligibility criteria for admission to BA LLB at Indore Institute of Law is successful completion of 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
