Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University admissions 2026 are open for Certificate, Diploma, UG, and PG courses. Interested candidates can apply for their preferred course through the official website of the university. A few more updates are given below:

For the BHMCT (4-year) course, the MAH BHMCT CET 2026 exam will be held from Apr 28, 2026 to Apr 30, 2026.
The registration process for the MHT CET 2026 has started for admission, and the last date to register is Feb 12, 2026 for admission to BE/BTech and Integrated BTech courses. The session 1 exam might be conducted tentatively from Apr 11 to Apr 19, 2026, and the session 2 exam from May 14 to May 17, 2026 (tentatively).
The MAT 2026 Feb session registration is open. For PBT mode, the last date to register is Feb 23, 2026, and the test is scheduled for Mar 1, 2026. Further, for CBT mode, the registration closes on Mar 2, 2026, and the test will be held on Mar 8, 2026.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses are now available for download on the official website for students scheduled to appear from Jan 21 to Jan 24, 2026.
CUET 2026 registration process has started for admission to several UG courses. Candidates can fill out the application form until Jan 31, 2026. The CUET exam 2026 is scheduled to take place from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026.
The CLAT 2026 second merit list is out for admission to the five-year Integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM courses. Also, the third merit list will be out on Feb 5, 2026.
The CUET PG 2025 result has been released for admission to PG courses. Candidates who appeared in the exam can view and download their scorecards by using their login details on the official website.

Never take admission here.

Placements: I am deeply disappointed with the placement opportunities provided by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University. Despite promises made during admission regarding good corporate tie ups and regular placement drives the reality is far from expectations. The placement cell is inactive and the promises made during admission about 100 percent placement are completely false. No soft skill training interview prep or resume building sessions are provided.

Infrastructure: The campus is okay but nothing exceptional. Some buildings are new but maintenance is poor. Classrooms lack proper equipment and the library is average. Fake promises are made during admission.

Faculty: Most faculty members are not experienced or lack proper teaching skills. No practical exposure; teaching is mostly theoretical and outdated. The curriculum is not industry relevant. Very few technical updates or real world topics are included. Exams are not well organized and sometimes evaluations are unfair or delayed. No mentorship or guidance for projects, internships, or competitive exams like GATE, NET, etc.

I advise students not to take admission here. The atmosphere of the college is very bad.

Placements: As a student of this college, I feel it is important to share an honest review of the placement scenario here. Unfortunately, the placement situation is far from what is promised during admission. The college tends to exaggerate the number and quality of companies visiting the college. In reality, only a handful of companies come for recruitment.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of my college is quite disappointing and does not meet the basic standard expected from a reputed university. Apart from the admission area, which is well-maintained to create a good first impression for new students and parents. The rest of the campus lacks proper care and development.

Faculty: The quality of faculty members in my college is very poor. Overall, there are a few genuinely good and dedicated professors who care about teaching and students' understanding. They are the exceptional rather than the norm. The majority of the faculty members lack both proper teaching skills and willingness to support students. The biggest issue is that many faculty members mostly complete their syllabus in the last few weeks.

Other: Fests are a disaster. It is like they do not plan anything ahead of time. All of them depend on each other for them to come up with ideas.

Faculty members are very supportive and helpful.

Placements: Many companies recruit students from the college like Axis Bank, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc. The highest package is 8 LPA. It has vast options in the placement cell, and the placement cell helps us with placements. It gives better opportunities and gives valuable knowledge to pass through every interview.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-built with a library. The hostel is near the main college building. It has a basketball court and a badminton court. The hostel is very good with AC service and Wi-Fi services. It has nice food in the hostel mess. It has 2 canteens and juice centers. Labs are well-equipped and classrooms are all air-conditioned.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They provide good information about each topic and give an easy understanding theory. They have medium-level difficulty if we study well but they support us to get a good understanding of each topic with good faculty members.

Other: It organises many events throughout the year. It organises extracurricular activities like basketball, cricket, and many sports events.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-equipped, and some are equipped with air conditioning, modern labs with the necessary equipment. For practical sessions, a two-floor, fully air-conditioned library with a vast collection of books and digital resources, and high-speed internet. All over the campus, computer labs with high processing capacity systems.

Faculty: CSMU faculty comprises qualified professionals. They are Ph.D holders. Student appreciate their approachable nature and willingness to assist. The curriculum is designed to be industry-oriented, and there is room for enhancing industry exposure through more industry visits.

Campus chronicles- An honest take on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University .

Placements: 2022 batch from the life sciences department: B.Sc. Zoology (hons) I opt for; almost 7% of students are placed in our department. The other courses they offer for B.Sc.'s are biotechnology, microbiology, and bioinformatics. The highest package offer in our course is up to 8 lakhs, and the lowest is up to 1 lakh twenty-five thousand and the companies are Organica Biotech, Wellness forever and technologies related to our course.

Infrastructure: The teachers are available for assisting students in doubts regarding the topics. All the floors are equipped with Wi-Fi and library, and the classrooms are not fixed regularly for classes; it's random. The labs are not fully equipped with lab tools, and for experiments we have to bring the lab materials on our own. The hostel is within the campus and the facilities are only limited because of the poor management. The hospital is within the campus.

Faculty: The semester exam fee is like 1k and at least 15% of the semester exams should be paid for appearing for the 1st-semester exam. The same exams are conducted prior to 4 months of teaching, included by the internal exam between two months. The teachers are mostly qualified with PhD's and are experts in teaching towards their specialized subject, providing students with innovative ideas to approach and learn about the subject they teach. The average passing percentage is 33% for the sem exams.

Other: I chose this course in order to explore and learn the biodiversity of the various animals and specimens and the ecosystem of our environment. The best thing about my course is that it is present in abundance in our surroundings, and the practical part of this course is the most fun and informative when it comes to learning animal morphology. This course could be better if the professor focused on practical knowledge more than the theory classes. The big event is mostly a freshers party where the Bollywood celebs are the chief guests, and it's hosted for 3 days with different themes.

Placements: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University provides placements according to the student's skills. The top-level companies that approach this college are TCS, IBM, Just Dial, HDFC Life, Inox, etc. The percentage of students who got internships from this college is about 75%.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University is the best as the campus is huge, and the surroundings are beautiful, surrounded by mountains. Wi-Fi is also the best, set up on all floors. The library facility is the best, providing all the academic books you need.

Faculty: The faculty members of this college are very supportive and helpful. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is the best. Yes, the course curriculum matches the level of industrial projects. The difficulty level of semester exams is high, but for those who study well, it can be easier for them.

Other: I chose this course because this course has aim to achieve my dreams. I have to become a software developer, so I chose this field.

You might get little problem if you have not studied Physics and chemistry in class 11th and 12th as the first year of BCA would have Engineering Physics and Chemistry, however if you are so keen into doing it then I can suggest GL Bajaj for it. You can pursue your BCA then MCA for masters from here
