Established in the year 1977, Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) is a public state university located at Rohtak in the state of Haryana. With over 580 institution/colleges affiliated to it, MDU Rohtak currently offers various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and research level courses every year. In addition to it, the university also offers selected Integrated, Diploma, PG Diploma and certificate courses in diverse streams. Apart from regular mode learning, MDU also offers several UG and PG courses through distance education mode (MDU DDE). The admission process for MDU is divided in two parts: Centralized Admission and Non-centralized Admission.

The reservation policy of MDU is as per the Reservation Policy of Haryana Government. Out of total seats in each course, 15% seats are reserved for All India Open Category while 85% seats are reserved under state quota further distributed in the following categories:

Sinhgad Law College offers two undergraduate courses viz, BA LLB/BS LLB, LLB under postgraduate program, two diploma courses namely DTL (Diploma in Taxation Laws), DLL and LW (Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare) and one Certificate Course in Forensic Science and Medical Jurisprudence.
The college is approved by Bar Council of India and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Application fees of INR 500 has to be paid through demand draft.
Admissions to five-year or three-year degree courses in law require MH CET Law ranks.
Those who wish to study diploma or certificate course can do so by applying on the basis of graduation degree.
