B.Arch

Hi,
JEE Main Paper 2 is conducted for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions. JEE Mains paper 2 is based on both drawing and maths skills , it has a math section (level is same as the JEE Mains paper 1) and a sketching and 3D interpretation section. The rank you obtain in paper 2 is independent of the paper 1 rank. The exam, like the paper 1 is conducted by CBSE and helps you secure an admission in SPAs ( School of Planning and Architecture) and the B.Arch courses in NITs. ( SPA Delhi is considered the best in the country).
NATA is a compulsory Exam conducted by the Council of Architecture and most of the institutes /colleges accept only NATA scores. NATA is a test which only tests drawing and 3D interpretation skills and even students from humanities or commerce background can answer the exam.The exam does not test mathematics or science knowledge. The exam is conducted by the Architecture's Association and it helps you secure admission recognized by them and you need to apply to different institutes independently with the NATA scores. CEPT in Ahmadabad is one of the good college which accepts NATA scores.

The career opportunities for these graduates are high at present. These graduates can work as independent professionals or can take up jobs in Government or private sectors.
You can work in the sectors of construction, urban planning, urban development corporations, public works departments, interior designing, etc.
Architects have lots of job opportunities in architect firms, universities, consultancy companies, etc. Global market, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai provide attractive career and jobs for architecture graduates.
Teaching in this field is also another option for the pleasant career. Anyone who had successfully completed B.Arch can register with COA. This can be done through agencies like CPWD. UPSC organizes examinations for these registered candidates to recruit them in various departments.

Both B.Tech and B.Arch are very good course, but you have to choose one according to your interest as well as your performance.
B.Tech is Bachelor of Technology. It mainly deals in technology field. If you are strong in Mathematics and Physics, then you may choose it as your career option. Your study will totally be based on technology.
B.Arch is Bachelor of Architecture. It is also related to technology, but it mainly deals with designing part of architecture. To become a good architecture, you must be a good designer. If you like Physics, Mathematics as well as Designing, then go for architecture. If you become a very good architect, then scope and opportunity will be very high.
Now, you have to decide in which field you have more interest and in which way you want to go.
