Yes, Sri University does offer a BDes course for the duration of four years, and the course is divided into eight semesters and offered in full-time mode. The eligibility criteria to get admission into this course are similar to various UG courses offered at Sri University- candidates must complete Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50% and must qualify for the SSU CET.

No, a work portfolio is not mandatory to fulfil the B.Des course eligibility criteria, though some colleges may require it depending on the specialisation you choose. The Bachelor of Design course is offered in many specializations, and having a work portfolio prepared only strengthens your application.

NIFT offers scholarships under two schemes. Students pursuing BDes at NIFT Patna can apply for NIFT scholarships if they fulfil the preset eligibility requirements. These scholarship schemes are mentioned below:
- 'SARTHAK' - NIFT Financial Assistance Scheme
- 'UDAAN' - NIFT Means-cum-Merit Scheme for foreign studies

NIFT Patna BDes cut-off varies across the BDes specialisations offered at the institute. The cut-off for most specialisations has shown a fluctuating trend over the past three years. Both curriculums provide a strong foundation in animation fundamental knowledge and what differs them apart is their fee structure and course duration. BDes animation is a 4 year UG degree programme for which the eligibility criteria is that you need to clear 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. However, Diploma courses can be opted even after 10th and are more budget friendly as compared to UG animation programs.

Once the applicants have qualified the entrance exam, they must upload the specified documents on the admission portal. After the final selection, selected candidates must visit the NIFT Patna campus for physical verification of documents. They must bring along the following original documents and their respective photocopies:
- Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
- Proof of date of birth (Class 10 marksheet & certificate)
- Valid certificate of SC/ST/OBC - Non-Creamy Layer/PwD/Open - EWS category (if applicable)
- Certificate of Medical Fitness to be signed by a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed format

The NIFT Patna BDes selection process is entrance-based. NIFT conducts a common entrance exam to shortlist candidates for various NIFTs. The exam comprises a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). Based on the performance in the entrance exam, the candidates are shortlisted for the second stage, i.e. a Situation Test. The seat allocation is based on the merit list released by the institute. The merit list is prepared based on the following criteria:
- GAT - 30% weightage
- CAT- 50% weightage
- Situation Test - 20% weightage
