It depends on the entrance exam you are giving.

Go to home page of shiksha.com, there you will find an option about exams. Under this, select NIFT entrance exam. There, you will find different keys. Select cutoff, which will show you a chart about the cutoff marks required by each category /caste to crack NIFT.

The NIFT entrance exam is a two level exam. First, you will have to appear for a written exam which is a general capability test (GAT). For this you can just refer to NIFT entrance exam book and prepare from that book to get an idea about the pattern of the question paper. Apart from this, you should also practice sketching, drawing and be creative, because once you have cleared your GAT, you will be appearing for a creative ability test. Also, check Bologna University Study Grants for International Students.

It depends on what you want to study. Studying B.Des from NIFT can give you placement in various areas of fashion industry and studying B.Sc animation and visual effects can place you in a respectable position in VFX industry.
