Entry requirement:
- The candidate must have a 10 + 2 or intermediate in any discipline. Students in their final year of graduation can also apply.
- Above 50% of aggregate marks in qualifying examination (First class preferred)
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills
- Aptitude for design
The fee differs every year, so this you will get to know only at the time of admission.

B.Design is a degree program whereas GDPD is a Diploma program offered by NID. It is always better to go for a degree program as most organization look for a degree as compared to Diploma. A degree holder is preferred over a diploma holder in the same field.

Yes, NID conducts entrance tests and according to your rank, you are given your institute state wise.

CAT is the most important part of the question paper. Start sketching and develop your own style of sketching and coloring. I can not stress this enough. Good drawing skills are very important. How you present/draw your ideas is just as important as the idea itself.Keep reading the newspaper (especially around November-December) It'll help you in GK part of GAT and help you generate better ideas. That totally depends on which field you want to pursue. NID doesn't offer Automobile design for B.des hence in case you wish to pursue that, you will have to graduate in another field. Having prior knowledge of product design studied in graduation however, may help you excel in the post grad course.
