Greeting Candidates!
UGC net is country one of the toughest examinations. Even after the best preparations, many candidates may not appear in the examination due to the eligibility factors. It may be anything as age limit, qualification, etc. Candidates appearing for UGC NET Exam must satisfy the following conditions related to age limit and educational qualification before the application. Age Criteria (for junior research fellowship)
Candidate's maximum age limit is 30 year however reserved categories are given 5 years' exemption according to UGC NET. JRFHolders of LLM degree is exempted from the upper limit for 3 years. Age Criteria (for Assistant Professor)
There is no age limit for assistant professor. Academic Qualification
Applicant should have a Masters degree with at least 55% marks. Applicants from reserved category should have 50 percent number as they are given 5% relaxation in PG marks. Candidates appearing for post-graduation final year exams can also apply. A relaxation of upto 5 years to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces upto the first day of the month of UGC NET session. Total age relaxation must not exceed five years. Hope the information may help.
