Hi, ITI does not give one any advantage as diploma does. If you have done your class 12th, then based on this you can seek admission. In addition if your state has declared ITI as equivalent to class 12th, then also you can think. However you need to appear for appropriate entrance exam. Best wishes to you.

CSIR NET have set certain rules for the candidates who wants to appear in the CSIR Net exam. As per the guidelines those candidates who have completed their Master's degree or graduation of 4 years are eligible to appear in the exam in the subject in which they have completed their degree or with the related subject. You have completed your BE or engineering you are eligible to appear in the CSIR NET Mathematical Science. There is other rule mentioned by the CSIR which says, candidates who have completed their 4 year graduation is only eligible to appear for the JRF (Junior Research Fellowship). You are already a mechanical engineer. You just need to learn a few things. There are plenty of online courses available but as a Shiksha counsellor, I cannot recommend any specific private course. You just google it.
