B.Ed Eligibility

The eligibility for admission to the B.Ed. Spl Ed Programme shall be as below- (i) Graduation / Post Graduation Degree in any discipline from recognized university with minimum 50% marks. and (ii) Only those candidates will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Education(B.Ed. Spl Ed) Degree Programme who have opted either two subjects at graduation level or one subject at graduation level and one other subject at intermediate level out of the following - Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Home Science, Commerce, History, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Economics. However, the University may add another subject in this list time to time as and when the Self Learning Material for teaching them is prepared by the university.

The minimum qualification required for entry into B.Ed. course is Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. ) or Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. ) form a recognised board/university with at least 50% marks. Fees- Total Fee of Rs. 20,000-25,000
The minimum duration for B.Ed. through distance mode is for two years; however the maximum duration is of five years. The candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate in the undergraduate programme in any discipline or 55% in postgraduate programme. Along with this, the candidates should have trained in-service teachers in elementary education or candidates should have completed a NCTE recognised teacher education programme through face-to-face mode. The selection process is through an entrance exam usually conducted in the month of September every year.
