No, it is not necessary to do a Master of Education (MEd) after a Bachelor of Education (BEd), but it is a common and beneficial path for career advancement in education. A BEd is the foundational qualification for becoming a school teacher, while an MEd is a postgraduate degree that provides specialization, deepens knowledge in educational research, and opens doors to leadership roles such as a Principal or lecturer.

Pursuing an MEd after a BEd. offers several benefits, including enhanced teaching skills through advanced training and specialisation options, improved career prospects for leadership roles like principal or department head, increased earning potential due to eligibility for higher-level positions, and greater professional recognition and networking opportunities within the education field. The choice really depends on your goals. If you want to start teaching immediately, you can start applying for jobs or preparing for CTET/TET exams. There are many B.Ed students who love teaching and that's why, they start teaching in private schools or coaching institutes right after completing the course.
But, if you want to pursue other teaching-related jobs in the education field like becoming a curriculum designer, researcher, principal or professor, then you should definitely consider M.Ed. You can also take free counselling on shiksha.com.

Yes, you can take your 2nd year B.Ed in regular mode provided the 1st year of private mode is taken at CMD College. As most institutes allow students to get transfer and join if the candidate has completed all his/ her eligibility criteria and required work then he/ she may have a chance of joining with the college if that specific college allows students with its admission and transfer rules and regulations. Also, make sure that your previous course work matches the new institution's curriculum requirement for smooth transition.
