However considering geography and commutation involved, it's better to select the college that is conveniently located. Else you can always think of doing via distance from say IGNOU. It is very nice to see that you are interested in going to the education field. Normally speaking, the eligibility criteria for this entrance exam conducted by NCERT is 12th. Now many states have declared Diploma as equivalent to 12th. So please check with the institution from where you did Diploma and obtain this equivalence cert. Once you have this then you can appear for any exam where eligibility is 12th. Best wishes to you.

Yes, you are eligible to appear in CTET 2016 examination being a B.Ed 1st year student. Candidates who have completed Graduation with an aggregate of at least 50% marks from a recognized university and passed or appearing in first year Bachelor in Education.
