It is mandatory for those teachers who are teaching at elementary level. For secondary and higher secondary level, it is not mandatory. The duration of D.El.Ed course is 2 years.

At a time you cannot pursue two courses under same or different universities, according to the rules of UGC. So you have to wait for completion of your B.Ed.

Why not? IGNOU offers distance education in different courses. It has many branches all over the country. So must take admission in IGNOU to pursue B.Ed. The minimum required percentage is 50 in graduation.

To apply for B.Ed, you need to have passed graduation with minimum aggregate of 45 % from any recognized university.
Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam and as per norms prescribed by the university.
