Hi Bivab,
B.Sc (hons.) is more specialized and includes more advanced theoretical and research skills and ideal, if you want to focus only on Chemistry related areas. B.Sc general provides the basics and foundation and good, if you want to explore broader subjects after graduation. In terms of job search, a B.Sc (hons.) degree is more valuable.

The B.Sc chemistry graduates have many options for their higher studies. Majority of these graduates opt for masters degree in the same. But they can also choose various specialized areas in this field for the post graduation courses. Many universities offer the study of chemistry at post graduate and at doctoral levels. For joining M.Sc in chemistry or related discipline courses, they have to pursue B.Sc form any recognized universities with at least 55% marks.

As you know we are all in a competitive world, everyone is trying their best. There may be some difficulty in first two cut-offs but I am sure, 86% is enough to get admission in DU. There are so many colleges in DU so make sure don't discriminate as it is north or south campus. Have a look on all college's cut-off.

You don't need to do B.Sc in any other subject. Just apply for the B.Sc chemistry at a university/college after verifying that you have successfully done your 12th and cleared the cut-off required to take admission in B.Sc chemistry.
