Both these field has a very wide career, but it is totally depends on your interest. Just choose according to your choice. But there are vast employment opportunities
for the students of Biochemistry as they can be absorbed in a number of Research Institutions and the students of Biochemistry can work as Scientists, research
officers, research associates, chemical examiners.

It will take 4 years for B.Pharm after B.Sc chemistry also even though both are Bachelor degrees but it is best if you pursue M.Sc in chemistry after B.Sc in chemistry instead of wasting time for B.Pharm it will take only 2 years for M.Sc and opportunities for M.Sc in chemistry is also more same as pharma students.

Hi Bivab,
B.Sc (hons.) is more specialized and includes more advanced theoretical and research skills and ideal, if you want to focus only on Chemistry related areas. B.Sc general provides the basics and foundation and good, if you want to explore broader subjects after graduation. In terms of job search, a B.Sc (hons.) degree is more valuable.
