B.Sc Computer Science and Engineering

Computer Science is 3 years of Graduation course while B.Tech is 4 years of Graduation course after which you will get Engineer's Degree. B.Sc. CS will teach you about computer application but won't focus much on coding. So I would suggest you for B.Tech Computer Science. If you get selected for B.Tech in CS then undoubtedly you will be getting better course contents and deeper knowledge of Computer Science and its subjects. If you get admission in a good B.Tech college / university then you will be having a good platform to develop your technical skills and knowledge at State or National level; if you are capable enough. Apart from IIT, top colleges for engineering are National Institute of Technology, R. V. College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun, Chandigarh University, Geeta University, etc. Students of CSE secured salary package of up to Rs 21 LPA and placement opportunities from companies like Amazon, Flipkart, HCL, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, American Express, Motherson Sumi, Urban Clap, UST Global, Max Life, ICICI Prudential visiting the varsity campus for conducting their campus placements. I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University and I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I would suggest you LPU for B.Sc. CS from LPU Starting with my experience from the first year onwards, where we asked to join some Placement. Enhancement Classes, that day I wondering why there is a need of same at this early stage and then the day I was sitting in my placement drive, I recall all those essential points which were taught to me that day and those eventually helped me in securing my seat in an interview. One more point I would like to share that it is not just calling the company to the campus, but preparing the students up to such level that they can crack any interview is equally important. So, I have observed, LPU faculty members, put in a lot of efforts to get the students placed. So, preparing the students to such level is more important and putting up efforts for that is more important and that what LPU always takes care of. University has separate placement enhancement department, which focuses on overall development of students. University keeps on conducting, guest lectures, seminars, live projects, hands on training, sharing views and experiences by the experts and many more events which helps the students to broaden their thoughts and cope with the corporate world. In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple packages as well. I was one of them, I remember my day I am hopping around the campus and was looking around which option to choose, Finally I landed up choosing HCL, with which I am currently working as well since last 4 years and have received many promotions and hikes. All I dedicate that to my faculty members and mentors at LPU. They helped me in choosing the right decision at that time as well. Students are trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. You must have heard people from other specializations (Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, etc. ). Working in the Computer Science area. I would say B.Tech CS.
