The decision would be based on your interest areas and long-term career plans. If you want to pursue a career in academics / technical / research areas then M.Sc would be a better option. However, if you want to move into general management / operations side then MBA would be better. There are good career opportunities in both the scenarios. However, one should pursue a career in ones area of interest, as this would give more happiness and satisfaction in life to the person.

You can directly take admission in M.Tech after clearing GATE. Doing M.Sc+ M.Tech. Takes 4 years and B.Tech. + M.Tech. Takes 6 years. But GATE + M.Tech takes 3 years. Save your years. All the best for your future.
