Though some of the subjects are same we can't say they are same. B.sc in IT deals with most of the aspects of IT while B.sc in information security deals with cyber crime, security issues, protection and other things.

You have to first search for a university which accepts lateral entry students and then appear for their examination. Once you clear that, you have to apply for that university 2nd-year programme.

Usually, no entrance examinations are conducted for enrolment of the students to the B.Sc study programme. However, a limited number of colleges hold entrance exams for courses like nursing such as Benaras Hindu University and All India Institute of Medical Sciences. During the months of June and July, the application forms are typically issued from different colleges. The course aspirants have to make sure that they furnish all the necessary documents and credentials such as residential certificate, mark sheet, school leaving certificate and so on.
All the best!

The syllabus differs from university to university. It is suggested that you select a university first and then check its syllabus.
