It depends on the person giving the exam. If you have studied well, covered all the topics given in the exam syllabus, and have also done proper revision, you might find the entrance test very easy to attempt. Meanwhile, for some other person who is underprepared and not very confident about his/her preparation, might find the exam very challenging and difficult to crack.
Also, the committee that sets the exam paper consider factors like the previous year exam difficulty level, student feedback, number of applicants for the exam, seats available at popular colleges, etc.

Every B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering college in India has set certain minimum eligibility criteria for admitting students to the course. Generally, the B.Tech Agricultural Engineering eligibility require students to pass Class 12 with at least 50 to 60% marks in the PCM subjects. Some colleges also consider PCB students.

You can start with the most basic step of checking the eligibility requirements for the BTech Agricultural Engineering course at your desired colleges. The BTech Agricultural Engineering syllabus is not similar for all colleges and universities in India. Every institution has a certain set of curriculum guidelines that they follow and set the syllabus in that manner. But, the general topics covered in Agricultural Engineering classes are usually the same.

It is not compulsory for you to give an entrance exam for admission to Agricultural Engineering courses after 12th. Several reputed colleges and universities in India also admit students on the basis of the marks secured by them in Class 12 board exams. They usually take further assessment rounds like PI and GD in such cases.
You can work hard for your board examination, score excellent marks, and apply to Agriculture Engineering colleges that offer merit-based admissions. You must check out for such colleges well in advance and then decide accordingly.

Yes, you can easily get admission to BTech Agricultural Engineering after the successful completion of Class 12 in PCM subjects with a score of 50 to 60 percent marks. Some institutions have higher eligibility requirements like 75% in case of the top IITs like IIT Kharagpur.

Most of the Agricultural Engineering universities want students to be at least 17 years old at the time of taking admission to BTech/B.E in Agriculture and Farm Engineering courses. Apart from the lower age limit, a few institutions also have upper age limit restrictions, that of 22 years. Further, the student seeking admission must be medically fit to pursue the course.

Some of the important documents you must keep handy during the admission process for BTech Agricultural Engineering
- Class 12th mark sheet with at least 50 to 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
- Class 10th mark sheet (if applicable).
- A valid ID proof like Adhaar, Passport, PAN Card, etc.
