B.Tech Agricultural Engineering

Hello,
After completion of BE/B.Tech one can pursue M.Tech in Agriculture which includes study like crop process engineering, firm machinery and power, soil and water conservation etc. A Ph.D degree of three years is also offered at IIT-Kharagpur, and Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. Hi Sandra, If your College is not approved by ICAR then the only problem you face is getting jobs in Government Sector - where usually graduates from ICAR approved university are asked for. Otherwise getting job else where is not a problem. There are some state universities which are not accredited by ICAR, there is no need of ICAR if you study in a state agriculture University.

Yes, you can give that exam of government jobs as mentioned above, every state has an agriculture department and they have the mandate of processing, mechanisation in the farm, for which they recruit agriculture engineers in district or Tahsil level. For which every state has its own examinations. Information for the same can be collected from Krishi career.

Firstly, you have to qualify for JEE Mains or go for some private colleges.
