One side B.Tech Biotecnology: An Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects pertaining to biotechnology for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. The other side B.Tech Bioinformatics: The curriculum in bioinformatics revolves around data management and software technologies in the research field. The general understanding of computer-based technologies that are used for research purposes is covered under this field. In the present scenario the field of biotechnology is rampantly growing. The biotechnology industry is witnessing good growth in the stream of medicinal research, drug analysis, recycling and re-harvesting of used and exploited products, synthetic management, cosmetology medical equipment enhancement, etc. India will have a competitive advantage in the industry since it is knowledge-intensive. A bio-technologist, depending on the area of specialisation, can find jobs in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies or in chemical, agricultural, and allied industries. A B.Tech BIOINFORMATIC at LPU focuses on : An Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects pertaining to biotechnology for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. Eligibility: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Chemistry English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. This is a 4yrs course which imbibes Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs etc. Are an integral part of curriculum.
