In B.Tech, you have to study all the engineering subjects, But if you opt for B.Tech Hons. Then you have to study only one of the engineering subjects in more depth. So, in B.Tech you have to study all the subjects given by colleges. But in B.Tech Hons. You have to study only one subjects which you like the most and you get specialisation only in one subjects. So, according to my opinion, B.Tech Hons. Is the best option, In nowadays there is a very great demand for Hons. Degree. Yes, you can. Pursuing Masters in any related subject you want is possible. Bioinfomatics and material Science are two different topics. Material Science deals with study of different properties and behaviour of materials.

You can appear for stream 2 and there is a chance of getting bioinfo . Try upto 3rd counselling even if you didn't get that in 1st or 2nd. It's totally based on how many candidates applied . There will be only 60 seats for bioinfo

Yes, you can apply. As maths is not required for this course.
Eligibility Of the Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Bioinformatics) The minimum eligibility for the course is that a candidate must have had Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their subjects in class XII and must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate.

Your cut-off is not enough in TNAU for B.Tech in Bioinformatics. You need to score above 190.
