To get admission into the B.Tech Bioinformatics programme at VIT Vellore, candidates need to meet certain eligibility criteria. Applicants should have completed 12 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects and obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% in these subjects in standard XII or equivalent

Additionally, candidates must pass the entrance test of the college or university for admission.

The B.Tech Bioinformatics of Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology & Research has an intake capacity of 60 students per year. This means that only 60 students can enroll in this course every year, based on their performance in entrance exams like V-SAT, EAMCET and JEE.

No, if you studied PCB Physics Chemistry and Biology in your 12th year, you cannot take the VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam). For students who studied PCM Physics Chemistry and Mathematics) in their class 12th, the VITEEE is a prerequisite exam for admission to B.Tech programmes at VIT.
