After completing diploma in Electronics and Communication engineering, you may join lateral B.Tech course in which you can directly enter into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
To be eligible, you need to score minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the diploma course. You need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

Generally, to pursue M.Tech automobile engineering, candidates need to pass B.E. / B.Tech in the relevant field with minimum 50% and 45% for reserved categories from a recognized university. Candidates need to sit for an entrance exam.
