Yes, ITM Vocational University provide internships and placements for B.Tech Mechatronics. Placements of ITMVU are excellent. It also offers us a six-month vocational internship so that we can get in-depth knowledge about our field. Moreover, we can prepare ourselves for the corporate world. We can also get information about what is needed in the industries.

Only IISER Bhopal offers BS courses in engineering and economic sciences, which is equivalent to B.Tech. After BS, you can also continue MS here by spending one additional year. But there are no B.Arch courses in any IISER.

Based on previous years (2020) allotment of seats, on such rank you can get seat in CMR Institute of Technology because in 2020, the closing rank for OC-Boys was around 86,000.
Though if you belong to reserved category, you may have chances, this is completely based on previous year data, cut-offs vary every year based on multiple factors such as seat intake, difficulty level of the paper, number of candidates appearing for the examination etc.

The 2020 closing rank for B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at VIT Bhimavaram is 7248.
The cut off for 2022 is not out yet.

For entering as a second-year admission in any stream for e.g. : mechanical engineering
You must have completed Diploma (which you have)
And you must attend an exam similar to KEAM entrance examination which have studied topics based on the mathematics, English and basics of every stream (I. e. civil, computer, mechanical, EEE, etc.)
You must at least score pass for entering public or private school
Achieving rank in this exam increases possibility to receive seats in government or government aided colleges.

Generally, for AI, you need Diploma in relevant stream i.e., CSE/IT. But in private Universities, you can get the lateral admission in B.Tech CSE after Diploma in Mechanical. After one year, you can choose the AI&ML as specialisation. LPU or Chandigarh Universities can be the good option for lateral admission.

Depending on your particular skillset and area of interest, either may be lucrative. When comparing degrees, Computer Science students tend to focus on software, whereas Computer Engineering students learn more about hardware. That, as I alluded to previously, is a matter of personal interest. Review the course descriptions to see which ones are more manageable for you before applying for admission. After 12 years of study, the average student will need another 4 years to get a Bachelor's degree.
