Well, there can be many aspects to be considered while choosing a branch (stream) for B.Tech. You have to choose the stream as per your interest. 2017to18 was the first batch of Sandip University so the cutoff is 45480. So, it wll take more 2 to 3 years (according to course) for 1st passout batch. At this point, we cannot say, how will be the placement!
But, I am damn sure, that the college won't miss this opportunity of placement for future advertising, as it'll be the first batch of University & Face of new University

I think if you are getting CSE branch in UIT RGPV. Then you must be getting LNCT (mains). Now I will try to state the differences between these two colleges and then you can decide it yourself
LNCT provides excellent placement for CSE and IT branches.Anuj garg is tpo of the LNCT groups, who has good networking with top most IT companies .You can assure yourself of placement in companies like cognizant ,wipro.,Infosys,TCS,tech mahindra etc if u are in LNCT main. On the other side in UIT RGPV only company that came for CSE students this year was TCS . About 30 40 students got placed from cse-it branch in UIT whereas 100 were placed from LN

Well, first of all you must define what is a good branch according to you.
In my opinion, you will definitely get a branch in CET but this rank be enough to get a seat in CSE for sure is nearly about 43400 (unless you belong to the reserved category).
You can opt for other branches with this rank. If you really wanna go for CSE then you can just take up any branch in CET and then change it to CSE(43400) so this is the latest cutoff in your second year by obtaining a good GPA.
The final words being a student of CSE would be (a good branch would not help you get a good job). Once you step into CET you would realize that all the stars of CET
