In my view Distance learning B.Tech is not so beneficial as in that mode you will get less exposure to environment in which there is a high chance of getting knowledge through various friends and faculty, also in regular mode you interact with students from different locations, cultures and minds, you share here your views to different people and also get their views. But since you are working as a telecom engineer so I am quite expecting the reason of distance learning is your job. So in Our country there are many colleges and university which are approved by AICTE and UGC which offers distance learning B.Tech to all those who are not

You can get through college placement else just go to company portal and update you cv there. There are many options chill for now and enjoy your college days.

The placements of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is very good if a person is having a B.Tech degree and have a skills then the placements are above 10-15LPA and the best universities are Chitkara University Rajpura or Chandigarh University or many more and etc.

It depend on number of seats available in the university. For around 500 seats it is tough to get seat in GBPUAT but there are chances some seats are left or you have chances as woman candidate. Also there are good engineering colleges you can try like LPU/ good private engineering colleges nearby. You should also try to search some good private engineering colleges with good ROI. Near the GBPUAT you can search about Amrapali/ Graphic Era etc. Also you can take a break of 1 year and target some reputed colleges with good efforts. Best wishes.
