Yes, most programmes have age restrictions in line with national guidelines. Typically, candidates should be at least 17 years of age by December 31 of the admission year. Always check the official NUCAT eligibility criteria for specific age limits.

A laptop or desktop computer must be used as the primary device to take the test. Additionally, a secondary device, or third eye, must be either a tablet or a smartphone. Throughout the exam, both of these devices must be connected to the internet.

The NUCAT exam date 2026 will be announced soon. The exam will be conducted in three slots, in February,April and June 2026. NITTE University conducts NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test) three times a year to provide multiple opportunities to the candidates to appear for the entrance exam and to increase the chances of admission for the students. 

The NUCAT application form will be released in December 2025. The candidates should check for the important dates and apply before the closing date of the application form.

The Nitte University Common Admission Test NUCAT exam will be conducted in 3 phases. The tentative dates to fill out the Nitte University Common Admission Test NUCAT application form are as follows

NUCAT Test 1 last date to apply is January 2026

A fee of INR 1000 has to be paid while submitting the application form. The fee can be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI Payment Modes. The application fee is non-refundable. The application form will not be accepted if the application fee is not paid. 

It is not strictly necessary to have a colour printout of the NUCAT admit card, but it is recommended. A colour printout can ensure that your photograph and other details are clear, making identification easier for exam officials. However, a black-and-white printout is generally accepted as long as all the information is clearly visible and legible.

CET/COMEDK score will not be considered for B.Tech. admission at NMAMIT. The BTech admission will be based on the NUCAT score only. The candidates who score above the cutoff score in NUCAT will be given admission to the B.Tech programme at NMAMIT

NUCAT 2026 admit card release date will be announced soon. The admit card will be released separately for each test, a few days before the exam.

There will be 40 questions asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There will be a total of 120 questions asked in the exam. The total time allotted for the exam is 120 minutes. For each correct answer, 1 mark is given. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. The syllabus of NUCAT 2025 is based on the class 11 and 12 CBSE/State Board curriculum. For NUCAT 2026, each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, and there are no marks deducted for incorrect answers. Since there is no negative marking for wrong answers, the candidates can answer the questions without the fear of losing marks for wrong responses. 

There is no negative marking for the wrong response in NUCAT. For every correct answer, the candidate will be allotted 1 mark. The total marks of the exam are 120 marks for 120 questions.

The NUCAT Rank list will be released in June, tentatively. The NUCAT rank will be displayed on the test portal by Nitte University. The merit list will be available on the official website soon. The exact dates are usually communicated beforehand. The candidates will be called for counselling after the results are announced. 

The NUCAT result is determined based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the NUCAT 2025. The Class 12 marks of the candidate are not considered while allotting ranks. The ranks are allotted to the candidates only based on their NUCAT 2025 score. 

The NUCAT result is available online on the university's official website. There is no need for the candidates to visit the campus to check for the results. The merit list will be available online, and the candidates can check their scores and rank on the official website. 

If you do not attend NUCAT counselling, you may lose your chance of being admitted to the university for the current academic year. It is important to attend the counselling process as per the schedule to secure your seat. If you do not attend, your name may be removed from the merit list, and you may not be able to get admission to the university. Therefore, it is crucial to attend the counselling process and complete the admission formalities as per the schedule.

Mock test will be conducted before the actual exams. The candidates are advised to appear for the mock test to understand the exam pattern and types of questions asked in NUCAT. The dates of mock tests are as follows

• Mock test 1 will be held in February 2026
• Mock test 2 will be held April 2026
• Mock test 3 will be held in June 2026

The NUCAT 2026 counselling will be conducted from June 2026. The NUCAT 2026 counselling will be conducted over a period of one month. The candidates are called for counselling based on their NUCAT score.
