Lovely Professional University is one of the finest university that I know of. Be it academics, placements or extra-curricular activities. And I am saying this because one of my friend has done B.Tech from LPU only and right now she is working with Amazon. Few points which will help you to take decision:-
It is the best private university which always focuses on learning outcomes by letting explore our capabilities. The curriculum blends in with the technology. It provides for multiple industrial exposures, live projects, an updated curriculum rigor and technology along with very good placements and personality development. Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technology Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals. The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. They are always ready to help the students. During the exams, professors arrange special classes for the students to help them revise better and clear their doubts. Record placements with over 610 hired on a single day by cognizant. Tech mahindra hired 250 students in one go, which is the highest for any campus drive conducted by tech mahindra. I would say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. If you re looking for quality education, good placements, exposure, academics then LPU is right place, it has all. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology. The course offers specializations in Dairy Technology, Fermentation Technology and Bioinformatics. The curriculum offers prime focus on fundamental and applied aspects of biotechnology. Students can get a foreign degree through international collaborations (2 year in India and 2 years abroad or 2 year in India and 1 year abroad)
In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. She said, specializations may be offered in Dairy Technology or Fermentation Technology or Molecular Biotechnology (subject to minimum number of students and feasibility)
