Hi, The eligibility criteria is a pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (I. e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University)
Note:-In case the applicant falls in both categories, then only one relaxation in eligibility will be given. The other way is take admission to Diploma [Lateral Entry] and then go for B.Tech [Lateral Entry]. Firstly, in most cases let me tell you what is difference in BE and B.Tech. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). This may not be true for all cases, but most. Education-wise there is hardly any difference. Now coming to the selection of branch, you need to discover your interests first irrespective of the scope and job opportunities for a particular branch.
