Hello Sathwik, it's very nice indeed to SEE that you have already set your aim to clear the services examination of the UPSC. As per the present statistics engineers or doctors appear to come on top in this examination. But this does not mean that students from arts or commerce for liberal arts background are not selected. Students from these backgrounds also clear the examination and are selected by UPSC. In view of this my strong recommendation would be for you to select that subject which you like the best. As per the UGC guidelines, The distance B.E. /B.Tech is not valid for employment and higher education purpose. So never be pursue. AMIE, B.Tech lateral or Part time regular B.Tech are the best options.

Hello Pyaswanth, it's indeed intriguing to hear from you that you are interested in getting a job while studying in third year of engineering. Well, you can surely and definitely do it. Only issue is you will have to juggle between studying for your engineering and spending time to earn money. You can take tuitions for students of first or second year students. You can take part time job also and follow dictum if earn while you learn. Best wishes to you.
