Minimum 85 percentile in JEE . And if you have less than don't try for the VJTI college. If you are lucky enough you will get admitted at 75 percentile in last CAP Round or counselling round.

A student who has completed his/her 10+2 education with minimum 60% aggregate marks and is from the Science and maths background can take up a Diploma course in engineering which is of one year and then can directly take admission to the B.Tech after Diploma. Students who have completed the Diploma are eligible for the B Tech course as well as students are also eligible for entry into the second year thus enabling students to complete their b tech in 3 year time frame. One year gap after B.Tech.
Although this question will be asked by the interviewer surely. You need to have a proper justification for your gap. Yes there will be fewer interview calls, fewer opportunities, but you will need to make most of whatever you get. You will need to display all the skills required for the job description you applied for. If possible add some quick skill or a technology to your portfolio.
