If you wants to get into IIMs, then you have to give CAT exam and also need to score good in the exam at least 99 percentile is required for get into IIMS.

Yes, you can change your branch from EE to ECE. But you need to appear in the entrance with ECE as your desired branch. At the time of filling the application, ECE should be your preferred branch. Best of luck.

B.Tech course is somewhat more practically intensive than the BE course which is more theoretical. The difference (which is quite minor) between the two degrees can be understood from their names itself, Engineering vs. Technology. Engineering is a "Science", dealing more with theoretical concepts & principles.

Yes, college will be different. New teachers, friends, methods of learning, books and various project work are the main attraction. Necessary attendance criteria, assignments and hostel life are another attractions. Hence, establishing the balance between the all activities is the main task.

According to my knowledge, you will get admission on the basis of JEE Mains score. There is no good university provide admission on the basis of class 12th. Good luck.
