You cannot seek admission to the B.Tech in Biotechnology course at the Kolhapur Institute of Technology purely on the basis of an MHT CET (PCB) score. Admissions are based on entrance exams; the admissions may be qualified either through MHT CET or JEE Main for entrance into the program.
Those candidates qualifying through either of the examinations can participate in the CET counseling process for final allotment of seats. This means that while scores from MHT CET are accepted, admission is possible by other means also.

It has a stronger industry interface, research exposure, and faculty excellence that makes the latter a safer option for studying B.Tech in Biotechnology.
