This is a very good option to take. I would suggest you to google some colleges which provide B.Sc Biotech and find out the admission requirements. It is generally an entrance based field. Happy going.

In India, both these fields are not yet developed completely. Yet B.Sc Biotech has better placement and salary opportunities.

No, VIT does not provide you placements in core companies but helps you to get a job in sales and insurance company. (Mostly door to door sales).

The admissions to B.Tech biotechnology is done either through common Entrance Test (CET) or merit based direct admission. Merit list is based on the marks obtained in 10+2. The application form for entrance exam is available from the month of February to March. The general process is explained in the figure below:
B.Tech Biotechnology: Entrance Test:
