Hi Gayathri,
After doing your B.Tech in Biotechnology, you can either choose to do a post graduate degree in the area of Biotechnology, if you are interested in Research. On the other hand you could also look into doing a management degree if you are looking at a Management post in the industry (eg Pharmaceutical Industry).
If you prefer to go down the technical research route, then you first need to get a post graduate degree –an M.Tech degree would be preferable. There are many universities that you could look at. Some of these are Anna University, Chennai; University of Calcutta, Jadavpur University, Calcutta; Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi; Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Jawaharlal Nehru Tech University, Hyderabad.
You could also do a degree in another related area such as Genetics, clinical research etc. This would depend upon your specific area of interest. After your PG, you can go in for PhD after which you can go in for Post-doctoral research. Here, we would like to mention that students usually prefer to do PhD and Post-doctoral research from abroad.

Sahil, If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. This is a field where nobody cares for your qualification, they only see if you can do quality work. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, and of course Game Studios. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). As for the scope, I would say that there are plenty of career opportunities available for nursing nowadays. You can get jobs with many private as well as public sector undertakings. You should take this decision on the basis of your own interest and competencies, Choosing a specialization in pgdm is a very important one and one should not go with the external factors like job prospects etc to chose that, because if you are not good in something but choosing that just out of better job prospect you wont be able to do justice with your career. First search about the options you are weighing, go through the course curriculum, subject matter, and analyze the competencies it demands from you, in this way you would be able to make a sound decision. and talking about your background although it is said that finance background is required to do pgdm in finance but as I mentioned at the end it all depends how much and better you have absorbed the knowledge of your specialization.
