You can opt for the NEST exam, if you have interest in research work or you can opt for the Indian statistical institute. These are also two good colleges and exam for the entirely different stream that is known by very less students pursing to do B.Tech.

The amount to be paid varies from one college to another. You may contact the admin of the college for the payment that you need to make. Generally, the fees would be lesser than management quota seats in case of private colleges.
