To pursue any undergraduate course or BTech degree in the field of IT, the candidate must have passed class 12 in Chemistry, stream (PCM/PCMB) or equivalent from a recognised board or university.
They must have studied compulsory subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science or Computer Applications.
Moreover many colleges have the requirement of clearing top entrance examinations such as JEE Main, SRMJEE, BITSAT, VITEEE, etc. in order to be eligible for admission. The candidates must also adhere to the age limit as well as posses all the relevant documents which are necessay for admission.

Yes candidates who have completed an MA in Hindi are eligible to apply for UGC NET irrespective of discipline in which they have completed their Bachelor's degree. They must have secured at least 55% in MA Hindi and should have completed course from a recognised institute. Those applying for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) must be below age of 30 whereas there is no age restriction for post of Assistant Professor.
According to latest guidelines of UGC, candidates who have completed a four-year course such as B.Tech and B.E. are eligible to apply for NET exam and pursue PhD in any field as per their preference.

For admission in a BTech programme at University Department of Information and Communication Technology, MGM University it is crucial that the aspirant fulfills the course-specific eligibility criteria. Thus, only the asiprants who have passed Class 12 with at least 40%-45% aggregate (including reserved category) are eligible for admission. The eligibility criteria for the Distance / Correspondence BTech course may differ from college to college. However, the basic eligibility criteria for distance B Tech course in TamilNadu are as follows. The candidates:
- Must have passed Class 12 with a minimum 60% aggregate from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects (the pass percentage may vary in different colleges).
