UGC prescribes the syllabus for the UGC NET Hindi exam. The candidates preparing for the UGC NET Hindi exam can check the complete syllabus. The UGC NET Dec session exam will be conducted for 85 subjects from Dec 31 to Jan 7, 2026. Candidates preparing for the UGC NET 2025 exam can check the UGC NET Hindi Syllabus here.

UGC NET Hindi Syllabus

The authority will conduct the NTA UGC NET exam from December 31 to January 7, 2026 in two shifts. The Hindi subject exam will be held on January 6 in the second shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. The application dates were October 7 to November 7. The syllabus of Hindi consists of Hindi literature, language, linguistics and literary criticism. The general aptitude is evaluated in Paper 1 and Paper 2 is a subject specific. To know about the syllabus is crucial in the preparation journey of an exam.  The official Hindi syllabus is available on the official website. Detailed syllabus and the PDF is also available below. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects. The candidates can check Hindi syllabus in brief. 

There is no update regarding the revision of the syllabus according to the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) for the December session UGC NET 2025. The candidates can speculate that the exam will be conducted based on the previous syllabus provided by the Commission.

University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test is a national-level exam conducted to determine candidates' eligibility for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts in Indian universities and colleges.

No. A candidate will not receive the UGC NET City Intimation Slip by post. The authority will release the City slip on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates required their login credentials to download the city slip including the application number and date of birth.

Yes. It is important for a candidate to carry the UGC NET admit card to the examination centre. Without it, candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam. It consists of the details like name of a candidate, photograph, shift, reporting time, exam day instructions, etc.
