The eligibility criteria to study BTech in the USA are very specific and listed below.
- Schooling: Students must have passed their highschool examinations.

In order to apply for a BTech course, a candidate must have passed your Class 12 (or equivalent) examination with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST, and PwD) from a recognised board, and have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. IIT Roorkee admission 2025 is primarily entrance-based. The candidates are selected through national-level tests conducted by various authorities. IIT Roorkee offers UG and PG degrees in the fields of Engineering, Science, Architecture, Management and Social Sciences.

They should have studied Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the optional subjects.
A minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC students from Karnataka) in the above subjects is needed.
Entrance Exams:

1. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) – For Karnataka domicile students.

For admission to BTech at NIT Hamirpur, students must pass Class 12 with 75% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject (for SC/ST, 65% aggregate is required).

ICFAI University, Raipur admissions are primarily merit-based. Candidates must also fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements for the respective courses. The basic eligibility for UG courses is Class 12 whereas graduation is required for PG programmes. Further, candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme at ICFAI Raipur must be Class 12 passed or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate with a pass in each of the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English.
