No, direct admission is not available for BTech courses at HIMT Chennai. To get admission, candidates must follow the whole admission procedure, which includes completion of eligibility criteria, appearing in the entrance exam, release of merit, document verification, seat confirmation, etc. Moreover, the provision of direct admission is not mentioned on the official website of the college.

The total fee for the BTech course at Saveetha Engineering College is INR 99.8 K - INR 5 L. This fee is exclusive of various charges such as transportation charges, and several other charges. Students must pay the fee on time to avoid late fee submission charges.

The eligibility requirements and admission process of both IMU Kolkata and HIMT Chennai are almost the same. The basic requirement that candidates must fulfil is that applicants must complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream with an aggregate of 60% and a minimum of 50% marks in English in Class 10 & 12, and the IMUCET 2025 rank is mandatory.
Now, IMU Kolkata is one of the campuses of the Indian Maritime University, whereas HIMT Chennai is affiliated with IMU. Moreover, to compare which college is easier to get enrolled in a BTech course, applicants can compare the following factors:

The IMU CET syllabus for admission to BTech at HIMT Chennai includes the multiple-choice questions that are based on the subjects candidates have studied in their Class 12- Physics, Chemistry anf Mathematics. Yes the BITSAT is a mandatory exam to take admission to the B.Tech course at BITS Goa. No such other engineering entrance examination as JEE Main or state-level CETs is accepted in the institute.

To get BITs, Goa BTech Admission, the candidate needs to have scored Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The minimum aggregate marks they have to obtain in PCM subjects shall be 75 percent and in each subject shall be 60 percent. The applicants must also meet BITSAT.

For admission in B.Tech course of BITS Goa, you have to clear the BITS entrance exam called BITSAT which is organized by BITS Pilani. Depending on your BITSAT ranks numbers, you may be able to enter in the admission process and choose your desirable campus as BITS Goa. Admission is purely merit based.
