Birsa Agricultural University in Ranchi can serve as another study destination since it carries a public/govt status. Students must pass NEET UG exams to seek admission in Mumbai colleges for BVSc . The admission process to the BVSc programme requires successful completion of NEET UG followed by obtaining grades higher than the established cutoff standards established by both Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell and Veterinary Council of India. All candidates need to complete their Class 12 studies with minimum 50% marks (or 40% for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Students need to register on the Maharashtra CET Cell portal which they must follow by taking part in the counseling session for choosing their prefer

Generally, government colleges accept the NEET or any other state exam for admission to Veterinary courses. The expected cutoff for the NEET 2025 exam for veterinary courses in government colleges is around 720-162 for the general category. The cutoff for SC/ST/OBC is expected to be 161-143, and for the PH category, it's expected to be 143-127. You can check the exact cutoff on the official website of NTA.

With a score of 255 in the NEET, you are unlikely to get a seat in a government college for a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc). The NEET cutoff for veterinary courses varies by category and year. For general category seats in a government medical college for a veterinary course, the NEET UG exam score required is usually 500+. For the OBC category, the required score is 450+, for SC category it is 380+, and for ST category candidates, a score of 320+ is necessary.
You can go for colleges that take admission to the course based on scores obtained in Class 12 exams.
