The new cut-off marks of the College of Agriculture, B.Sc. Agriculture at Powarkheda are revised yearly based on general merit overall, number of available seats, and performance by candidates.
Overall cutoff of general category during the previous admission season was about 60% of aggregate scores obtained in qualifying examinations.
Cut-offs of the reserved category were slightly below the general category ones.
Cutoffs specify the competition for the course, which fluctuates yearly.

SVVU Tirupati has a decent placement record. As per the VSSU student reviews, most of the students are recruited into Animal Husbandry department through the Government notification. Once a candidate is offered admission to the BVSc & AH course of SVVU Tirupati, they must report to the university campus for document verification. They must submit the following original documents to finalise their admission:
- Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination (Intermediate)

There are two ways to secure admission at SVVU Tirupati for BVSc course. Those who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age can get admission at the university in one of the following two ways:
- 85% of the total seats are filled under state quota through the combined counselling conducted by ANGRAU based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET merit. To secure a seat to pursue BVSc at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, candidates must have a valid Andhra Pradesh EAMCET score. Based on their exam score, applicants are shortlisted for seat allocation through the counselling conducted by ANGRAU.
