With 424 marks in NEET 2024, an AIR of 333,872, and a General-EWS category rank of 41,063, you have a moderate possibility of getting a BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) seat in a government veterinary college under state quota counseling.

With 435 marks in NEET, you stand a decent chance of getting a BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) seat in government veterinary colleges based on your category and state quota. The All India Quota (AIQ) counseling is done by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for 15% of seats, and the remaining 85% are done through state counseling. Cutoffs are state and category-wise, but general category students typically need higher marks. In case a government seat is not offered, private veterinary colleges provide admissions with lower cutoffs. State and AIQ counseling participation will determine your admission chances.

Entry into the BVSc & AH course of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is through NEET UG. With 594 marks in NEET 2024, you stand a good opportunity to get a seat based on cutoff trends. The process of admission involves:

Passing NEET UG – You need to have passed the minimum cutoff for veterinary admissions.
Counseling through AIPVT (All India Pre-Veterinary Test) through VCI – The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) organizes centralized counseling for 15% AIQ seats.
BHU-specific counseling – BHU can have a standalone counseling procedure for state or institutional quota seats.
See BHU official portal and VCI counseling website for updates

The latest cutoff list for MAFSU for this programme is not available yet, but for some previous years, the cutoff for the NEET exam for taking admission in the BVSC course was ranging from 500 to 550 marks. The cut-off can vary depending upon the category. Like the students from economically backward classes (OBC) had a lower cutoff than this.

BVSC is considered the top course at MAFSU because India is currently having a shortage of well-trained and qualified veterinarians, which creates a good job opportunity in this field.MAFSU offers practical knowledge and highly qualified teachers, which results in better learning, creating well-qualified veterinarians. And lastly, the college has a good reputation and recognition in this field.
