Campus life gives experiences such as mingling with fellow students, attendance of events, and easily accessing academic resources. The "campus life," however, is not quite similar to bigger universities, because the Design Institute of San Diego is a small college. Staying off-campus could give more independence and privacy, and it might even cost less, but there will be no close community feel that on-campus living will give.

Finally, it all depends on what you prefer about community, convenience, and budget. If the institute has strong student engagement and you value interaction, then on-campus is better for you. If not, then off-campus living suits you more.

The cost varies according to courses 

Undergraduate: Annual tuition fees range from INR 27.24 L to INR 45.06 L 

Postgraduate: Annual tuition fees range from INR 22.42 L to INR 65.98 L 

MBA: The first year tuition fee for an MBA/PGDM programme is INR 24 L to INR 44 L 

BBA: The first year tuition fee for a BBA programme is INR 47 L to INR 49 L 

Executive MBA/PGDM: The first year tuition fee for an Executive MBA/PGDM programme is INR 28 L 

MS: The first year tuition fee for an MS programme is INR 22 L to INR 31 L 

B.Sc. The first year tuition fee for a B.Sc. programme is INR 27 L to INR 39 L 

B.E. / B.Tech: The first year tuition fee for a B.E. / B.Tech programme is INR 27 L 

However, prospective students must apply to UC Davis through the University of California (UC) application website only. The application period begins on August 1, and the application should be completed by November 30 for the subsequent fall semester. Academic credentials, personal statement essays or, questions that allow the applicant to give insight into personal experience and extracurricular activities.
The campus application fee is $80 for domestic students and $95 for International students per campus. UC Davis does not use SAT or ACT scores because the whole UC school system is test-optional. An applicant also needs to pass sufficient courses with an average grade point average of 3.0 (3.4 for non-residents) in A-G Subjects.
