Yes, Santa Cruz accepts international students. As a matter of fact, in the year 2022, over 19,000 students were given an offer for admission. The current students say that this university is very welcoming and inclusive to international students. A diverse and vibrant environment is a unique selling point of this university.

For Indian students, UC Santa Cruz acceptance rate is around 73%. Indian students who have a good academic record will have a higher chance of admission.

  • For admission to the UG courses of UC Santa Cruz, the students must have passed high school
  • Whereas for admission to UC Santa Cruz PG courses, a Bachelor's degree is required

International students are required to meet the GPA requirements to get admission to UC Santa Cruz. A GPA of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale is needed, but wait, the admission requirements do not end here, they also include other important factors like essays, LORs, extracurriculars and stuff.

It's advised to the applicants applying at this university, that they apply early in order to be saved from the last minute hassle.
